CSULB Art Alum Michael Nannery in Art Project at Flux Art Space, Long Beach

Posted on January 24, 2019 by School of Art

may your skies always be blueCSULB Art Alum Michael Nannery is in an interactive art project at Flux Art Space in Long Beach. The project, entitled May Your Skies Always Be Blue  is an interactive work that began during the Small Works for Living Spaces show at Flux Art Space in December. The project is continuing through early February, with the primary goal being the collection and posting of expressions on the gallery window and walls.  Visitors are invited to engage this participatory work and explore the meditative potential of drawing.  Together, the post-it notes form a color field, likening clear skies and other placid thoughts. Betsy Lohrer Hall, artist and director of Flux Art Space, and Mr. Nannery will alternate as facilitators of this project on the next three Saturdays (1/26, 2/2, and 2/9) between 12pm – 5pm.  The public is invited to join the artist (as well as Betsy Lohrer Hall, artist and director of Flux Art Space) in creating doodles, sketches, and masterpieces on post-it notes during any and all of the Saturdays. Come on by and participate!
