The exhibition is entitled The Harvest, and Martínez uses the technique of collage onto cardboard boxes, and then overlays these elements with his drawing or painting in ink, gouache and coal. The artist juxtaposes the brands of agricultural products registered in boxes collected from supermarkets and portraits of the rural workers drawn in the same boxes, trying to create compositions that allow reflecting on the inequalities of the social lifestyle, while at the same time weaving patterns and colors, sophisticated rendering techniques, and showing the souls and human spirit that went into every box (which we now just throw away.) The exhibition opens on August 1st, 2018 at 6:30pm.

Congratulations Narsiso!
