CSULB Photography Professor Todd Gray in L.A. and London exhibitions
Posted on June 26, 2018 by School of Art
CSULB Photography professor Todd Gray is in a solo exhibition at the Meliksetian Brigs gallery in Los Angeles, entitled Portraits. “In this new body of work, Gray continues to re-contextualize photos from his own archive, structuring images to both conceal and reveal simultaneously.” This exhibition runs from June 15 through September 15, 2018. Prof. Gray also is in the group show Michael Jackson: On the Wall at the National Portrait Gallery in London. This landmark exhibition explores the influence of Michael Jackson on some of the leading names in contemporary art, spanning several generations of artists across all media, including Gray’s work as Michael Jackson’s first official photographer. Curated by Dr Nicholas Cullinan, Director of the National Portrait Gallery, the exhibition will open June 28, 2018 and will coincide with what would have been Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday (on August 29, 2018). Congratulations Professor Gray!
