rick reese shelterCSULB Illustration professor Rick Reese will have a solo exhibition entitled Shelter at the Irvine Arts Center. “The painting practice of Orange County based artist Rick Reese looks at how the environments we create and inhabit separate us from the natural world, posing questions about our relationship to nature and our sense of belonging to landscape.” The exhibition will run from November 18, 2017 through January 6, 2018. CSULB Photgraphy Alumna Jazmin Urrea in exhibition at Studio Museum in Harlem

0314_news_cheeto-display_03-1320x880CSULB Photography alumna Jazmin Urrea was selected for the Studio Museum in Harlem’s “Fictions” exhibition: a survey of recent work by 19 emerging artists of African descent who live in the United States. In addition, her installation, “RED 40″ was shown as part of “See What you Mean: An Evening of Insurrections with Harry Gamboa Jr.” at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles.
