CSULB Prints Professor Roxanne Sexauer is in a three exhibitions across the country. First is a solo exhibition entitled Taproot at the Brandstater Gallery, La Sierra University in Riverside, California. It will showcase Sexauer’s woodcut prints and will run through February 11, 2016.
Prof. Sexauer will also participate in a Hannaher’s, Inc. Print Studio Artist-in-Residence Survey at the Plains Art Museum in Fargo, North Dakota. A true gem, the Hannaher’s, Inc. Print Studio is one of a handful of printmaking studios around the nation located in an art museum, and the exhibition will run through February 6, 2016.
Lastly, she will be in the group show Midwest Matrix: Texas at the Sarofim School of Fine Arts, Art Gallery located at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. This exhibition of contemporary prints by over 20 artists celebrates the individual artist-professors who contributed significantly to the now-celebrated post-WWII printmaking revival in America, and their students who have spread the rigorous Midwest print traditions throughout the United States.
Prof. Sexauer also had an Artist’s Residency at the Black Church Print Studio located in Dublin, Ireland last summer through the award of a CSULB Small Faculty Travel Grant. Located in the Temple Bar area of Dublin, the Black Church Print Studio is an artistic collective and one of the leading contemporary fine art print studios in Ireland. Congratulations Professor Sexauer!
