Museum of Contemporary Art acquires work from CSULB Painting Professor Fran Siegel

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles has recently acquired a work from Professor Fran Siegel. The work on paper is entitled Overland 14, and was made in 2011, and will be included in an upcoming show entitled “A Selection of Recent Aquisitions” which will be on view from February 10 to March 11, 2013. It was included as a part of their 2012 acquisitions alongside artists such as David Hammons, Daniel J. Martinez, Sterling Ruby, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Damian Ortega, and Ilene Seagrove. Overland 14 was purchased with funds provided by Nancy Berman and Alan Bloch. For more details, click here

CSULB Painting Professor Domenic Cretara to have exhibition at the Triton Museum of Art

Painting Professor Domenic Cretara will have a show at the Triton Museum of Art, in Santa Clara, CA entitled “20 Years of Painting and Drawing.” It will showcase his figurative paintings and drawings which have drawn upon classical traditions, and their transformations into modern idioms and settings in the manner of Caravaggio.
